Welcome to Issue Number 2 on NintendoVerse Power. Where we talk about the latest news about Nintendo.

Nintendo had filed a patent for a trading card set that uses Amiibo technology. A section of the patent reads: “The trading cards refer to cards on which variously different pictures are depicted and a purpose thereof is collection and exchanged. Namely, the trading cards are cards manufactured and sold aiming at exchange or collection of pictures on each surface thereof.” Nintendocards.jpg As you can see, it has some Rock, Paper, Scissors images. We will have to wait and see how this will end up as.

On March 20, there was a Nindie showcase. The Nindie showcase announced the following games that are coming to the Nintendo Switch: Mark of the Ninja Remastered, Fantasy Strike, Just Shapes & Beats Garage, Bomb Chicken (Zelda fans beware. This isn't part of the title if you are wondering), Reigns, Light Fall, West of Loathing, The Messenger, Pode, Pool Panic, Bad North, and Banner Saga 1-3.

Super Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot Data maybe used for future Smash Brothers games.

While we are on the subject of Smash Bros, a good amount of companies would love to see their characters in the game (lets be honest, we don't blame them). Two being Phil Spencer asking for Banjo Kazooie, and Fumination with Goku (although I doubt a character that did not come from a video game will ever come to Smash Bros. sorry Naruto fans).

Javed L. Steritt made this spectacular gif of what Nintendo Labo might look like in Smash Bros.

Since we are talking about fan-made art of smash fighters. A youtube art channel called Smashified made a piece of art of what Otus from Owlboy would look like in Smash Brothers. Otus.png

The Head of Rare studio says there is a possibility that other studios could work on their classic IPs.

Well, that is all for this issue. Hope you have a wonderful day.
